Art is inherently therapeutic! Art therapy leans on that principle. It may look like talking about the past week while working on art or looking at artwork made and discussing how it relates to someone’s life or experiences.

Play is the language of children and toys are their words. Kids often have a hard time talking about their emotions, things that happened to them, or their challenges. Play is one way to help kids communicate and build their mental health.

EMDR stands for eye movement, desensitization, and reprocessing. But founder of EMDR Therapy, Francine Shapiro would probably say it is more than just eye movements! EMDR helps clients to “digest” traumatic or difficult memories, and helps people find healing from them.
